Well i just got an LRP .28 Spec3 and broke it in.....

first of all the one way bearing went!(is going)

second i tried and tried to tune it and it just lags out on the bottom end(starting from a standstill) and when its floored(lags again) it just loses all power and wont go faster or take off well!

HELP!!!!

Did you seal the engine? You could have an air leak. What kind of break-in did you do? How long of a break-in? You might want to start from scratch (put all the needles back to factory) and retune it.

did 2 tanks or idleing 1 1/2 takes short bursts thats it!

no did not seal engine!

also forgot to mention that my exhaust was leaking

Exaust leakage? Is it coming out of the manifold or the connector? If it's coming out the exhaust tip, then it's most likely to rich somewhere. If it's leaking elsewhere, there's the problem. These engines rely on the exhaust system for backpressure. Without it, they will run really akward, and be insanely hard to tune. The backpressure is what keeps the fuel mixtures coming in the right way, and the exaust going out! 🙂 Seal up the exhaust if it's a problem!

I've never tuned an LRP so I'm no expert but you may need to run a few more tanks through it. Take a look at this THREAD for a good write up for sealing the engine, I would recommend it.

Well in a different post YOU made .. You said this
i just got lrp spec 3 AND IT BEAT EVERYONE!!!! I BROKE ALL MY DOGBONES!!!!!!(lol on purpose, i got new ones anyway)

Sounds like it's running good if you broke all dogbones ?????
unless you took a hammer or a chop saw to them ?

my lrp was doing the same thing at 3 tanks ran a total of 8 tanks and then tuned it when i was at the finals and it was running good bogged at full throttle just backed off a 1/4 tune on the high speed and it runs good pull the wheels up with big joe 40s on bead lock rims ,give it a little time this engine is a monster

Actually you can run a nitro motor without the pressure line hooked up. The motor is what actually draws the fuel in. This method is mainly used by racers and not bashers. Adam Drake explained as to why some people use this setup. What it does is it gives a smoother throttle transistion from a dead stop to wide or 1/2 open throttle. Or basically he said it acts more like an electric motor powered Rc. Here's a thread started by the great Doobeewha about the whole no pressure line setup.
