It's a shame so many good tires get discontinued, munchers are just about the best I have seen in grass and dirt. Badlands are also some good grass tires but they are skinnier than the factory tires and imo just look a little off on monster trucks.

They are not 3.8 40 series but they are a "mulcher knockoff" check out panther meat grinders, same style tire and also do great in grass. http://www.panthertires.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=131

What don't you like about the dogbones?

For me, I like the tire to be pretty flat with minimal ballooning, but can still give me enough forward bite to wheelie without so much side bite I roll all the time. Also, if they can hold up to concrete, that's good too since I don't want to have to change tires to run at a skate park for an hour before kids show up, then I go to a park. I do about 75% of my time on grass with 25% on pavement. Almost never see actual dirt.

I recently got a set of SRC wheels/tires on my one revo, so far, they seem perfect for what I do.

You can see them here compared to traxxas tires:

I'm currently running a set of the tires in the comparison on my X:

Should give you a good idea how they look for size. I did gear my revo up 1 or 2 teeth to compensate for the size and it seems about right. I haven't run a lot yet, but what few tanks I did run were on blacktop and grass and they seem to work really well for me. A bit off spin off the line and not overly grabby on the turns. Also with an OS21TM and gearing at a pretty good speed, no ballooning, so it's very stable at WOT now.

I'll probably ask my wife to gift me another set or two so I have them on all 3 trucks (bb revo, savage x, sb [os21tm] revo). Although, the traxxas chevrons I have on the other two trucks work pretty well, so will probably wait until they wear out or tear on me as they are pretty new yet.

I do like the look of them sweep racing tyres and rims tbh, the dogbones don't seem to like damp grass just spin way to much I've got a set of Terrapins I've borrowed to try but way way to much sidewall just make truck roll over going to try big joes out this week as I'm new to this just trying out stuff to get the best out of my package.

They grab hard in the grass. The losi zombie maxx tires were probably the best all around traction tire I ran. Did well on dirt, loose or hardpack and grass. Lots of grip. I never ran on pavement though as the compound felt a bit soft. I have sets of both of those that I've removed from rims sitting around here somewhere. Just the old 3.2" standard MT bead though.

Proline super swampers that have been banded so they can't balloon. Excellent side slip but good forward traction. I just ordered a heavy duty steering servo saver spring so I can get tighter turns.
