i had an sts d30m and an sts 0702 pipe also. i replaced the engine with a picco p3 .28. Is that a good pipe for the picco?

basically what is the best pipe for this picco that will help the engine produce maximum power?

any comments are appreciated.

086 won't fit on my savage though and that other pipe looks like baja pipe, it's huge. .... You sure about this??

the ofna 086 is what the masses say the best all around pipe for most motors, it will fit on a savage. it is designed for buggies and truggies so when its used on the savage the preasure nipple will be on the wrong side of the pipe, that will have no ill effect to run it this way. you will have to fabricate a hanger for it but that is easy to do with a piece of coat hanger wire. the ercm pipe is a hand built pipe by robin the owner of ercm and is designed to fit a savage, but this pipe is very loud.

Mickey is spot on with this

i preferred the dynamite 086 on my picco and f because it offers unbeatable performance and unbeatable price.

pipe, header and one piece mount shipped for $50 http://cgi.ebay.com/Dynamite-1-8-08...Accessories&hash=item483e6b4b28#ht_2174wt_907

.

ps, have you tried this pipe on your picco yet? i say before you go buying more equipment, try what you have and see if it meets your need. then if your happy with it you can use that cash to buy something else you wanted 😉 batman

Mickey is spot on with this. if you use the supplied header (which will add to your performance) & run standard length tvps, you would need big bores to allow for clearance. if you run xl length or ext tvps, then it will fit no problem.

the dynamite pipe wont fit with dual shocks but the ofna does fit with duals as it has a squared header unlike the round shaped dynamite header

I have the dynamite 086 pipe on mine. Definately not as much of a performance gain as the ercm. But, depending where you run, the ercm is LOUD.

prob why i said he'd need to run big bores with standard length tvps, huh? batman

on a side note, if your looking for more rpm, i got better results with the truggy pipe of the dynamite versus the savage header with all the bends 😉

It's more of an issue of being cast over the bends, the stock X header is not mandrel bent tubing, rather a casted piece. The restriction from extremely thick walls reduces the ID and restricts flow, there is no doubt the tubing will flow better but the ofna header will work fine as well.

The 053 and 086 pipe sets work GREAT with the Picco .28s. The 053 gives you more low end TQ and the 086 gives more top end power. These are my pipes of choice for an overall broad range of power.
