Baseline Needle Settings?

Hey gang, newbie here to savage's! I just picked one up from a buddy that really needs some work. It's filthy, but runs good and has a new bottom end from what I'm told. Anyway, I'm reading up on tuning it, I believe it's the Savage 25 model, although not entirely sure.

I'm pretty sure I can get the tune down, I'm just worried about the start point? Where do I set the top and bottom end screws? From what I can tell in the video, the starting point after break in is completely flush? Then tune from there?

u got that right factory settings are flush. got any pics?

Right on good to know! Thanks for the confirmation... this thing is WAY lean then haha, those needles are sunk pretty far in.


And no, no pics yet, I wanna get her cleaned up a LITTLE bit first at least haha.
