well traveled up to mass last saturday to have a bash with freddy, bank, jud, vis and the gang. i went there with my 086 pipe on at first ran a few tanks thru it with it and it just didnt seem like it was as pepy as it was with my macs.
so i throw the macs on and go to start it, once running all the guys were like WTH was that! i was i told u it was loud lol i proceded to run the truck and man what a difference that mac's pipe made.
vids are from freddy...

yes your correct, but one dirt is much looser then grass and yet it still out preforms? also just listen to the revs of the motor, get alot more with the macs.

two diffrent types of traction there try the pipe on the same thing the o86 vid was on

mac pipe had his savage ripping higher wheelies on the surface with much-less traction (dirt). probably flip the truck onto its lid if he ran it on the surface with more traction (grass), wouldnt you say?

thats a fun savage you got there badd, you put a lot of heart & soul into it, :resp:

I have to agree looks impressive but Grass creates a lot more drag compared to the dirt. Also, the large rocks will help propel the wheels into the air on the dirt.

However, like I said it looks much more powerful.

As for sound goes it will sound like it rips more RPM's due to the fact it's louder which can be deceiving. Not trying to say that it's not cuz it very well could be revving higher.

The best way to tell RPM's is to do some speed runs on concrete between the 2 or get a tack or some sort.

Think I definitely want to try this pipe, or wait till they come out with one thats a direct fit.

ok, you guys make good points. we will run a R&D next time

badd comes up to bash, both pipes on the same truck & same surface & see

what results we come up with. might not be for a couple weeks caz he's 100 mi south of us,

but we'll post up the vids here. stay tuned.

Yea, all 4 wheels were on the ground most of the time in the grass vid. On the dirt, too bumpy. Always bouncing around adding to the wheelies etc. The engine was allowed to free rev. I would be curious to see the difference with all other factors being equal. I'm sure the Macs makes more power, but how much? Is it worth the noise? Robins been running them forever. I've been kicking around the idea for a while.

see and you guys called me crazy for saying what i said. cant wait to see both pipes on the same surafce same variables.

i agree jimmy, if not for the mess & pipe being so big, i might get 1. before i saw these 2 pipes on same mill i was like 'how much difference can a pipe make" but I'm more interested than ever in the pipe thats in development with the stinger.

i also had the benefit of seeing badd run his truck all afternoon & not just for those short vid clips we posted. so we'll reshoot both pipes in a similar conditions & see what we get.

yep, you could get a tach or dyno hook up & get some type of a chart if you were interested, but probably a lot cheaper & a heck of a lot more fun to buy the pipe, slap it on your savage round up a bunch of your buddies & say "hey watch this" & have your buddies say "wth was that?" thats what badd did. it was fun.

Speed runs on the asphalt. Draw line mesure 100ft from it draw another line. Start truck have some body count down with stop watch time how long it takes to pass the second line.

me and freddy will cook something up for a test. i know its hard for you guys to be convinced in the vids but freddy was there in person watching, you can see the difference.

depending where we are to do the test (same place as before) we can do grass test, and dirt test. i don't remember there being a place to do a asphalt test.
we will make you non believers into believers 😉

i believe you guys. it launched faster with the macs even being on dirt. i cant wait for a regular side exit macs....till then the 053 with prolly be on my lrp.

it definately looks like the mac pipe has an awsome power gain!! cant wait to see and hear more!!
