yo Travis.... i wonder what purenitro has to say about this.....he's MY engine builder (HEHEHEHEHE)... i think his new nickname would be the mad scientist.....gonna sho this to him and see what he thinks........awesoe find though dude!

I'm not a big fan of 32's but, 37500 with a 17.5 stroke sounds cool

nice Axial, thanks for share

The Axial 32rr is 30 dollars more then the 5.9

i personally like Axial motors because you get you money out of them

Hey Matt wonder how this would do in my dad's puller?

great find!!! sounds like it will be a beast!! lets hope they have upgraded the bearings this time around!!! thanks for sharing!!!!

exactly what i was wondering....or in MY puller.........hehehehe

Just called Axial ansd they said that they did not upgrade the bearing's

Travis

well i've never ran a axial as of yet so i myself don't have a opinion or any experience with one, i have just read alot of people having problems with the one way's especially with the rr's but then you see alot that love them and to be honest for the price axials sound like a good choice.... i just haven't went that way yet!! lol

With the same bore, stroke and bearings, I doubt it will do much better then a regular axial/surefire .32 I mean if they can't afford to change one of the cheapest main bearings known to the nitro world, I doubt they would change the timing (major tooling cost) to make it an animal. Sure it has some extra flow cuts...... so did the .28RR and it was a failure. Axial teamed up with a pro engine "builder" to build the .28RR and it was "supposed" to be a killer..... From what I understand, they were worried about the extra power and warranty issues so the "builder" left and they came out with their own tame .28RR..... what a shame. jmho.

On a side note, I do believe there is a lot of extra power to be made and these engines can last a long time. Savage Sam has a modified K 4.6 with 17 gallons of race driving on it, given it has had a couple new main bearings. That gives me more faith in the rest of the engine quality wise, keep a close eye on your bearings and replace them if it needs it, for less then $25 you could save yourself the cost of an engine.

I'm excited to see what kind of peak rpms this thing can crank out. It's also completely black, which would fit in nicely with my color scheme! lol. Does anyone know if a black crankcase improves or inhibits engine cooling?

Most crank cases are black any way. It will cool just fine. 🙂
