Hey guys and gals, does anyone know what the part number or name is for this screw? I'm having a lot of trouble finding it out.

Many thanks 🙂

That's a shoulder screw. I'm sure its metal thread, since it's into aluminum, but I couldn't tell you what size integy is using there. Take it to the hardware store and match it up?

Thanks, I guess if I buy one of those screw sets its bound to have one. I thought it might be special because of the spring set up.

I think they are called kingpin's. Is there a bushing or something that the screw goes through so the aluminum isn't touching the steel screw? In many cases, there's a bushing that goes in there so it takes the wear vs the part. The normal savage has the kingpin screw, part Z288, they call it a step screw. It's course thread though since it threads into the plastic axle carrier.

What size thread is yours? Might help to take it out and take a picture of just the screw and post up how long the non-threaded part is.

I took it to the local hobby shop and they put a new screw in there so i got a few more as spares. Unfortunately they didn't have any blue lock left so I still need some of that but at least I can run it now. I'll take the original screw out and have a look at the threads to see if it's only partially threaded like old's said.

I ordered a stainless screw set so if the one the local shop put in isn't correct I'll just swap it out.

Thanks for all the help guys!
