air filter

I have bought I k and n style air filter of ebay for my savage and it seems a bit big the measurement are as followed:
diameter 50mm
height without neck 37mm
the engine is nitro star-25
so basically is this to big.

GARBAGE!! DO NOT USE IT ON A NITRO ENGINE!!!

use a motorsaver, trust me!

Hello Frazier;

that filter has come up a couple of times and you need to be careful using it because the holes on the sides of the filter are too large and can allow debris to get inside your mill (especially where we run these trucks off road).

as dawg stated, the motorsaver is a great choice as is the good 'ol stock hpi filter. ive used both and bel-ray filter oil on the inside.

i heard they let allot of small particals in but I like the look of the so I thought of inserting the air filter sponge so that it could take the very fin particals out.
would this work?
and is it to big? just to remind you of the sizes:

don't use any part of any K&N airfilter. period.
use a proper motorsaver which has a few stages of protection!!!


1. mesh enclosure
2. Foam insert
3. Foam over mesh enclosure


up to you, but ill guarantee youll be back blaming K&N for a ruined mill
