A bit more Savage than HPI expected...

Well it was a pretty good turnout for both buggy and mt/stadium.. I had brought my buggy along with the savage, but the buggy snapped a universal that I didn't have a replacement for, so it was DOA, that being said I stripped ANOTHER 645, then threw an ACE DS 1211 for steering and it didn't break again. After that, I had NO problems whatsoever, even bought an Airtronics M8 for 100 bux with a receiver, so that's what the savvy is running on now.

Now to the results,

I finished last in the qualifyers due to 2 consecutive DNF's, but finished 2nd in the A-Main with 4 truggies, an MGT 3.0, and an LST2. This of course after I threw off 4 of the shocks, and that was the ONLY modification from stock btw... you have NO idea how mad the 3 other truggy guys were that they lost to a COMPLETELY stock savage with some zippy servos. LOL I almost made a video of the a-main, but it was 9:30 by the time we started, so it was too dark.

On the savage, nothing broke AT ALL so I'm very proud of it. There was, however, a bit of a tuning issue, the 3 times I raced it came in at 340 plus degrees, so yeah, but oh well, all that matters is that I jumped a truggy and landed on an E-Maxx at the same time, so WOOT GO HPI!!!

Well Burn, glad to hear things went well for ya. See, all that harassing you about switching servos finally paid off! Way to go bud. Tweak her a bit, and next time you just might bring her home in 1st!

sweet! that's with that .25 I traded ya? oh man...have someone mod it, and you'll tear it up next time!!! not that you didn't do a good job of tearing it up this time!!
