I'm still using the stock head on my savage and hellfire, so you think 87E would be a better setting then 77E? I just use the gun to try to make sure I don't end up running it too hot.

Well I know these are used for guidelines only but my O'Donnell is made specifically for Nitro motors so I totally trust my readings with it and it does seem to confirm my tune by sound ability.

I just have one of the HPI temp guns, there's no settings like that at all. Now I use the temp sensor on my nomadio radio and set the alarm.

One thing I can tell you that may help a bit, If I put the sensr close to my mouth without breathing it gives a temp of between 90.0 and 91.1 degrees.
