After Run Oil

What is the second best option for after run oil if you do not have any?

This is an old debate. Some like me say no to WD-40. I say use auto trans fluid in a pinch and believe that all ARO are a mix of trans fluid and Marvels Mystery Oil.

Trans fluid contains detergents. I would stay away from that. Marvel mystery works well. WD is kind of thin. Ok for short term.

Ryan, I hear ya, I hate riding around here. We usually take about 2-3 trips out west to the Snowies , bighorns, Tetons but never made it out there last year and hopping to make it out there this year once. We have a trip planned to go out there from March 11th to the 15th. I probably have about 5 times the miles put on in the mountains compared to the pity miles put on here.

Anyhow, I have never heard Trans fluid but it should work.

used WD40 since i started this hobby a century ago. hehe!

i popped a Wasp26 open recently that sat for a few years after using WD40 and it was like new internally.
