OK guys not going to wait till the last minute or anything this time. Need ideas and thoughts on what we are doing for the 09 truck. Also price the parts so we can look at a general idea of cost. good luck guys.
:resp:

No I want ideas and cost. If need be we will buy a part or parts at a time so it isn't such a big hit right before the event. Or if we have to wait for something we have time. everything was down to the wire do to some issues and I will not go through that again.

I would say make a basher truck this year....full out basher IMO. K5.9 again, extended chassis, good throttle servo, maybe some different shocks, custom painted body, and some other stuff. I will repost with some more ideas.

look we will make this into a poll after the ideas are posted out for what trucks people think of. good solid ideas with a parts list and cost. The truck that gets the most votes will be the one we do. I will also say pull from our primary venders (rb mods , GH, ect.) first than do out sourcing on the rest. Single engine twin engine doesn't matter. also for rb will will only do the go tech .25 and .28 motors.

a fully decked out extened with a rock concepts tvp twin rbmodded motors the biggest and baddest ones you can get

I was thinking a gas powered Savage too drummer, but probably best to stick with traditional nitro power.

What ever gets made and which ever body is done, I vote for the body paint scheme reflect the HPISF colors and possibly one of kind site logo's, designed by and voted on by the members on the body, and stickers from the vendors. /sponsors of the truck. My .02

a gas powered savage yea it would be the baddest savage out there

I like jcam's idea. But why spend the cash on the kit? What stock parts are you actually going to use? I'm sure whatever stock parts are needed some of the members can donate to the cause. I have enough brand new parts to build another savage minus the engine.

Stock shock towers, bulkheads, both parts of the skid plate, gearbox, brakes and slipper assy, and the bearings. Possibly the swivel post for the throttle and some of the screws. And the axles and diffs (if the X SS kit) + Radio box.

Depends on the build but those were the only 'stock' SS kit parts I needed for my build, worked out cheaper buying those bits from a stripped kit on eBay. Everything else was aftermarket, and worked out about $1000 - $1200 all in.

Whatever it should turn out to be a totally tricked custom painted body should be on it!!!! I sure someone on here will donate their custom paint skills to make it happen!!!

I won't start promotion of the 09 world finals until january, but lets get some pics of the forum project truck and I'll make sure they get on the NL website.

Don't even know what we are doing yet..........Haven't nailed it down. good job giving this a kick in the pants.

I have an idea or 2. let me do some window shopping monday then i will post.
