Well, after the suspense, this is the answer i got from HPI:
The roll bar comes 1 roll bar, 2 roll bar support and mounting hardware.
Thats it. thats all i got from the company...
We were thinking antenna too. we were playing with it, and it fits on either side, but no where near the antenna that can be useful. My dad just got the new 4.6 and it slides right over the tube
I googled it earlier, and i only found one other person who has asked this online. No one there knew what it was either. In the manual though, it is not colored in like the rest of the parts. Id say just the way they make it in manufacturing, but it looks too precise to just be extra.
This is really weird. No one in Michigan carries HPI vehicles. Some do have parts but other than that (at least not on line) does anyone carry HPI. Even the place that i got my savage from previously is not listed on the dealers list. Anyone out there in MI know a good place to get a nother savage?
finally got a chance to put it in today. also did some cleaning while it was apart. works great. One thing i noticed was there is no grease in the transmission. I do need to shim it though. nother day
Yes it did. Was just driving it up and down the road. When i went into the grass it just stopped. Ran over shut it off, Took it back, rolled it around and it was fine. Started again and nothing. The clutch bell mesh was fine so i took the top off the trans and took me a couple of minute to find...

So i was driving my savage for the first time since winter up and down the road when all the sudden it stopped. Disassembled the trans and found this...
Any one got some input on a heavy duty upgrade?
to bring all this back up... I have discovered the issue! problem is in the steering column with a broken rod! all is well. time to take my big car off-roading and not attempting the things i do with my savage
when i fixed the wires i only re covered the ones that were burnt or sustained damage from the other ones burning. But right now nothing is wrong or not working with one of the fuses missing. seeing as both of them power basically the same things, i pulled the one that only powered some of the...
well i found out that if i pull 1 of 2 fuses powering basically the same thing everything works fine. So for now that is good but i also have to finish fixing my windshield wiper motor. replaced it and stupid clips keep popping off.
ok so i got a new 1993 f150 xlt for my first car. we had to fix some fried and corroded wires plus replace the multi function switch and key cylinder. while working for some reason the check engine light and abs light and the battery amp light are always on even with the key out. and if i pull...
My dad raced rc when i was young. got my traxxas rustler when i was 6. built it up and tried to race. Finally at the age of 16 my dad decided to go nitro. went in for a tmaxx(cheaper) came out with a savage. Best day of my life
He was hesitant because he liked traxxas and never heard of hpi before
Thank you guys. I was doing what max did on his first rc. it is boring. but ive moved on to building some jumps in the backyard and I'm not too worried about the temp now
Thanks you for the help and if anyone else has comments feel free to help me (i need it). But i figured it out here:
