Well I don't know really. BUT, I took it out for a spin today, they don't balloon that's for sure!!! all I will say is that the steering was a little vague, so I need a high torque servo, then I guess it's see how it goes. But so far i'm very pleased with my purchase!!!
Yeah I'll keep you posted. I wasn't too sure at first, but they're growing on me!!!
So long as they handle ok, then I'm happy. Was getting p'd off with changing the stock tyres, the ballooning was getting me down, these are supposed to be better on that score.
Hopefully do a run this...
Well guys, I splashed out on some new rims and tyres. the good old Goliath and blast wheels!!
The only downside is I think I might need a very high torque steering servo, and possibly a new clutch, these things are so big and heavy.
Anyone got any positive comments about them??!!
Hi guys,
Well my savage has now had 2 gallons through it, and runs ok, but the engine always makes a hell of a noise, i can only describe as Rough sounding, really harsh and almost like it's going through break in.
Anyone had similar??? No matter how I tinker and tune it, it's always the...
Hi Friddy,
yeah I just took the diff out, it's the pinion gear that has two teeth missing, the actual diff seems ok, so think i got away lightly there!!!
Thanks for the help
Hi Guys, took my savage out today and gave it a good bashing, firstly I noticed that braking after high speed was a little slow, (and the back wheels eventually skidded). conditions were dry and dusty
Got home only to find some really nasty knocking sounds from the front end, and if i move...
LOL, don't worry, it'll get fixed, Here are a couple of photos I took this morning of my setup, I did this based on BANKRUPTERS advice at the start of this thread.
You have to remember, when HPI say RTR, what they really mean is "you have to play around with your setup to make it work"...
Mekios I can't find your recent post in this thread, but looked at the picture.
It looks to me like the gear change ARM, has slipped, it should be sitting between the 2 pieces of rubber tubing, but yours looks to be sitting ON the tubing, have a look further up at Bankrupters pictures, then...
will it not go into reverse or forward?? I just moved the rubber tubing along a bit, i didn't touch the servo end, and it worked ok. You may have stripped the gear in the reverse module, I've done 2 of them now, it's not a strong point I must say!!!
LOL, yeah I know!!!!!
i did actually get it dirty the other day, but then I just had to clean it, it's like when you get a new car, you wash it every week and all that....after a few months you really don't give a hoot!!!!!!!!!!
Well I have to say i totally agree with Silvergs, this site is awesome and you guys really do go out of your way to help out, there's a lot of forums out there, but it's almost like it's a competition, where as here, it's just so friendly and everyone is keen to help.
1 word, FAB!!!!!
Well my savage is now sporty a brand new reverse module (can't believe there's only a few pounds difference in the price of the gear set and the complete module) so hoping to give it a test run tomorrow
I know what you mean, if this is going to be regular I'll have to ditch it. I mean I don't object if it's say once every 2 gallons, but so far this has only done 5 tanks!!!!
We'll see!!!!
