HI guys, I don't know if this info will be any use to anyone, but here it is anyway!!

I was quite sure my reverse module had a stripped gear, but taking a look last night it didn't seem to be in bad shape, but still no drive in reverse, so I took it apart again this morning and have found which one it is, bit tucked away so that's why i missed it!!!

Anyway, this may help others who have the same issue.

Here's the module split in two

Next push up the selector bracket so the little gear comes out (the gear is attached to the selector)

And here is the offending gear, little bit out of focus, but you get the idea - there is also a little idle type gear embedded in the casing, be sure to check that is ok too.

If you look real close you can see there are 3 teeth stripped.

Anyway, I hope this helps.

By the way, does anyone know of a gear set that is stronger??? these gears appear to be cast, could really do with some decent ones if this is going to be a regular strip down!!

I have 2 reverse modules with that gear that are shattered.... That's the weak link in the module. Since I busted 2, I abadoned the entire reverse option.

I know what you mean, if this is going to be regular I'll have to ditch it. I mean I don't object if it's say once every 2 gallons, but so far this has only done 5 tanks!!!!

We'll see!!!!

I've broken a few reverse set ups and no I did not put it in reverse without being fully stopped. Mine seemed to break on the main shaft. The two pieces seperate. The hex part from the shaft. Theyre cheap and were designed for the power output of a stock .21. Its not the price thats the issue with this. Its how involved it is to get to.

Well my savage is now sporty a brand new reverse module (can't believe there's only a few pounds difference in the price of the gear set and the complete module) so hoping to give it a test run tomorrow
