    Your idle could be open too much too. Check your manual how to set the idle. It should only be open 1mm. Which is tiny. I'm amazed at how slow a properly tuned engine can idle at. It could be closing when you apply the brakes. A little bit more description as to what it does would help...

    After reading your other thread, I would advise to get a roto start system and to take apart your motor and reassemble it while sealing it up good. Just my 2 cents. If you go for the new engine, be sure that the new motor has never had fuel in it at all.

    Make sure your fuel is good and you have no air leaks, there are a lot of things that can cause trouble. Just search around this forum for a while and you will learn a lot. Good luck.

    I clean and inspect my trucks thoroughly every time I run them. When I'm done running I do that with the fuel lines, then I put marvel mystery oil in the motor. Doing this will keep any fuel left in the tank fresh. Plus if you leave the line connected you could splash some fuel into your motor...

    The roto start has always been reliable for me. One time I tried a tiger drive on an lrp z 28 r and iended up having to cut out the shock tower to get the drive shaft in. Must have been the wrong one.

    I stopped using pull starts because I didn't have enough skin left to keep pulling on that tiny little handle. When the engine is not cooperating I like to have my roto start and skin. I don't think i'll ever go back.

    Nobody mentioned o donnell, which is what I use in my big blocks. But it sounds like your lhs stuff, trinity, is good too. Just only run traxxas fuel in traxxas engines.lol :woot:
