going crazy

Hey everyone absolutely going crazy need help. Just got a hold of a savage 21 but having trouble getting it to start. Its got the 21bb motor had it running for about 10 mins last night and that was it. don't know factory settings. New glow plug and igniter fully charged. It also came with a package of LC3 plugs could this be the problem. PLEASE HELP NEW MOTOR IS 2ND OPTION.

Set your needles flush with their respective housing sleeve. That will be the stock setting. Also check the carb gap (it should be 1mm at idle).

Thanks thats what I was looking for. Will try it out tomorrow see if that works. As far for the glow plug is that the correct one LC3.

I don't know what the difference is with LC3 but the hpi website says

R3 medium
R4 medium cold
R5 cold

And looks like it's recommends the R4 fir the 21bb engine.

says right there the lc3 is a hot plug and you sure don't wanna use that in your engine I would use OS #8 or a McCoy MC8

A plug in the right heat range will definitely help!!

Make sure your fuel is good and you have no air leaks, there are a lot of things that can cause trouble. Just search around this forum for a while and you will learn a lot. Good luck.

Don't really know if I need it but what is a good replacement engine that I can just drop in a savage 21. Dropping the truck off tomorrow at my local LHS. Cant seem to get it going. Cant even feel my fingers from pulling so damn much.
