    I purchased a used savage put about 3 tank into it and discovered the low speed needle valve turns on it's own. What cause this.. Is something missing in the carb?

    Thanks for the speedy reply.. Judging on your reply I have the 4.6. Thank you for that. However, I did remove the screw for the clutch bell and try to gently pry the clutch bell out with no success. I feel I used maximum pressure before damaged accrued. Any other hints.....

    I just purchased a used savage X SS. He said he has had it for years so I'm not sure what size the engine is. I assume savage has increased engine size over the years. Is there a way to tell? Also, I disassembled my Engine but, was unable to get the clutch bell off. You tube videos indicate...
