well i contacted hpi customer support today about my spur gear problem. the guy that answered his name was chris and i asked him wat may be the problem with my truck. well first off he seemed very rude but he did ask all the appropriate questions as i expected and which was fine. but as the coversation went further along he was telling me that i have to up grade to the steel spur and new cb. he was very arrogant and rude and i was not pleased with his interaction with me. As the coversation came to a close he had came to the conclusion that it was the speed of which my truck is traveling (which to me is a load of crap). so in conclusion i was very disapointed with how he responded to a customer with his attitude and manner.

That sucks Wild. Ive dealt with Chris over email and he was always very responsive and helpful. Maybe he was having a bad day? Not an excuse, but maybe an explanation at least.

I have had nothing but great CS from them. Although it all depends on who you get I think.

You didn't know that if you drive your truck more than 15mph that you should upgrade to steel spur/cb wild? LOL Its in the savage manual.

My thoughts on the spur gear issue is that if you are stripping plastic spur gears then you have a problem. No reason to put a metal/steel on and hide the problem....and even worse mess something more expensive up.
