Running problem

Hoping someone can help i was running my truck 4.6 ss x at wot it sounds like its popping not a high pitch more of A low pitch popping it takes of well mid range good can any one give me suggestions on what to look 4 to start of with thanx

try retuning that might be the problem or maybe an air leak, what are your temps?

did check 4 air leaks unable to find any,didnt have temp gun with me at time,but it usally run about 140-160 degrees celcius,also gave the carby a bit of a clean as well as the air filter,as i havnt run it since don't know if fixed problem hopefully will run this weekend

maybe one of your fuel lines is leaking or ripped cause it tends to happen sometimes

yeah he's right your temps might be too high because your running too lean.

if i were to start with the factory setting hsn would it be where the line is on the brass tube,also a while back i didnt realise the fuel tank cap wasnt closed properly and the temp sky rocketed around 180-200c i hope it hasn't done any long term damage

yeah i think the stock setting is flush with the brass thing

The only brass tube is the hsn correct but the top has a black cap so how do i teel if it is flush like your saying sorry 4 asking such a noob question give me a 1 to 1 car any day

yeah it is the HSN and it should be even with the top

bigbazz, on your engine, the factory setting on your hsn is the bottom of that black cap is even with the line on the tube.
