you said your savy wouldnt start? i very much doubt you damaged anything, & i know nothing about that fuel other than the oil content looks a bit low.

as for not starting, check your glow plug & prime cuz I'm willing to bet your sav would run on that fuel.

I don't think anything is broken either. From what I've read running this kind of fuel extensively isn't good for the engine because of the low oil content.

I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure a single try did nothing to your engine, you should just be able to use the right kind of nitro fuel and start it right up.

18 % oil isnt low its almost to high when the normal truck fuel is 12- 14%. thestarting issue has to be a tune or glow issue

:duh: yep your right mickey, i meant the 10% nitro content is a bit low as most land r/c'ers use 20% as a minimum. this fuel has a low nitro, high oil content mix which prob contributed to it not starting.

I tried and could not get it to start/turn over or anything so i emptied the tank and bought some nitro car fuel. It started right up afterwards with no damage to the car. thanks for the quick replies

freddy, your wrong , if you add oil to get it to 20% oil then ok, but most fuels from the bottle are 10-16%. IMO 20% oil is WAY overkill, 12% is fine, even 10% is ok to run, maybe a little hotter, but nothing a little richer wont hurt. The 20% oils will kill one way bearings, and leave one hell of a mess every where on top of what yoy already have to clean.

thanks max, as i stated in post #6 (before you posted this), i clarified that i mistakenly said oil, but meant nitro. so were saying the same thing bud. as you can see he added car fuel with a higher Nitro content & it started right up for him. 😛eace:
