hanging an 086 with the shorter header

Hey guys, I didn't want to drill into my tvps for an extra hole for the hanger mount so I improvised. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think. It's not going anywhere and it gets the job done.

looks good but you might want to add the stops that come in an ofna throttle mod to stop the pipe from moving side to side. it will wear out the exhaust gasket quicker if it moves to much. but it looks like good improvising other wise.

I just used the existing hanger then went to the LHS bought some 12" linkage rod and bent it. =)

looks alot better than my clothes hanger, i cut up.

the diameter of the stops is too small to fit the hanger spring. I bent the end of the hanger and hooked it behind the tvp, it's pushed in as far as it can go into the tvp and wrenched down and loctited into the front of the pipe. I might do what you did jud and use some linkage rod, I have a bunch in the box, I just did it temporary to see what you all thought. Good call on wearing out the header gasket.
