For the Years that I have been online trying to use other forum sites for some of my other interests. Members of these other forums tend to be rude and know-it-alls. I find this HPISF site to be very refreshing. Even though I have only posted two threads and read a huge amount of the other threads, I've found that the members here are nice and get straight to the point.

Thank you and hats off to the administrators and fellow members for keeping this forum clean and on track. Hopefully in the future when I get the nohow I will be able to return the favor and help others.:jumpers: :jumpers:

This wasn't my first Savage forum to join, but I too came to this same conclusion pretty early on myself.

I'm glad your happy here! This is the first forum ive ever made where I didnt just post a few times and leave because everyone was rude or know-it-alls, with the exception of one other forum. We are a big family, and we are always looking for more to join the fun!

I'm pretty new here myself. What I notice here is taht there is less arguing and more respect given to members posting. I'm not sure if its the rep system stopping idiots from posting nonsense ( an invitation to flamming) or the many mods who are genuinely interested and always watching, helping. They do a great job here. Maybe the mods are deleting some of the bad posts. You know what I mean. The guy who dosent know anything and is telling a newb how to fix their problem (wich will really result in disaster). A newb sees a high post count and a cool avatar and listens to him and breaks his truck.

This forum is a refereshing change to my other hang out where the mods come around once or twice a year for their bashfest. The other 10 months its a free for all. Old reputable members cant help losing their cool when they have to deal with so much garbage. A lot of good people have left that site. I'm trying to stick it out and show a little loyalty (for lack of a better term). I find myself more relaxed here. No B.S. like I said I don't know if the mods are killing the crap immediately or if there just isnt as much crap posted here. I even bashed this site. Using my previous exp. for examples. The mods here were visiting over there I guess. Instead of getting deffensive or arguing or insulting me, wich I probablly deserved, They explained the change in administration here and welcomed me with open arms. I was floored by the class shown by Jester and Crash. I have been here evrey day since.

I think the members here treat people like they would want to be treated. In this internet world its too easy to be rude.
I also think for the most part mods don't have much to do because most here are very respectful. I know thats how it is at my site. We have to remember that this is a hobby and should be fun in all aspects including forums.
There will always be some drama and it's too bad when it happens but threads like this help curb that IMO.
I'm glad you came back over here Grumpy and also glad you joined RCW. It's also nice to see long time rival sites becoming friendly to each other. Your right about Crash and SJ and for all staff here for that matter.
Big props to mackanon for starting this thread! Like I said I am glad you guys like it here, and glad to have you back grumpy1822.

i agree with you, this is THE BEST FORUM out there for the savages. Since i have been to alot of other ones and I see why they suck so much since they are so rude to "neebies".
 
I am glad you guys enjoy it here, its the members site, and I have rarely had to delete a thread due to someone posting inappropriate stuff, people keep it VERY CLEAN here I find and I find it amazing how they all do it. It does get out of hand sometimes but it gets straightened out almost ASAP.
 
I have had all positive times here! I love to unwind at night chatting in the shout box with all the cool people I have had a pleaser to meet. I only felt flamed once. I QUICKLY was apologized to and it was just the way I read it to boot! This is a top notch forum and I'm proud to be a member. I have not posted to much as most info is here already and I find myself agreeing with others answers. But glad to add to this one, thanks for posting this thread.
 
this is a great place. like said before,you couldnt ask for better people.they are alot of experts here and i hope to learn from them.
i am very proud to call this home.

un like a lot of places this form aculy helps like when i have a problem with my truck i come here and u guys give me sites or directions or other things i cant really think of u guys help me with lol

and thanks for every one not givin be a buch of stuff for my spellin i never was a good one eny way and i becha this site will go down in history in one of the best and most help fule site i ever been to thanks for every thing guys u rock \,,/
 
I'm new here myself and I love it here...I could tell the type of atmosphere this place had when while reading the posts and conducting my initial research...that is what made me join..normally I don't have anything to do with joining/donating to forums cuz theirs always a bad element that is tolerated in every forum with some excpetions. Their is ZERO :nono: tolerance for disrespect and unfamily like activity towards another member here Both the memebers and the staff keep this place clean and fun for everyone. Everybody treats everyone with respect and is always willing to help especially the staff. This forum is actually what sold me on the Savage..LOOOL They should have gotten the commission.

I think this forum is great!! I also belong to the Traxxas forum(not for long,cant stand the snobs). The people on there seam to be very snobbish know-it-alls,who don't like to help and just brag about there rides,only a select few have been helpful.Very inconsiderate. So far all the people on here have been very helpful. Crash is a totaly cool guy and i had a great time bashin with him (lookin forward to doing it again). This is by far the best! Thanks to everyone for all the great help and comments! Excellent!
 
I personally never got dogged on another forum, I try to be polite to everyone and respectful of their opinions. However it was easy to see the forums where the rude roamed.

I came to make this my home simply by the help provided. I double and triple posted test questions on several forums (same questions obviously) and then sat back and observed what was replied. You guys made my choice for me.

I still visit the other forums and try to help the noobs, or counteract the constant standard answer of "Search first you dumb noob". There is not a forum around that has a decent search feature, besides products and opinions change.

HPISF is the best. We are all part of one big family. It is amazing how everyone just keeps things going smoothly and quietly. It's a great place to visit, and I'm HAPPY to be part of such a great community.

Is it just me or does it seem that we have an older average membership here? From what I've seen so far I would guess the average age to be between 30-40. I'm 34 btw. Other forums seem to have an average age between 15-25 and a big gap then theres the old farts like me.

don't get me wrong. There are a lot of great members who are young. I know that. What I'm getting to is That the young guys seem to act more mature around an older membership then when its all young guys with a few older guys. Just a thought. What do you all think?

I agree 100%.
It does concern me with RCW as we are trying to get more kids involved like real young kids but so far so good.
Maybe because us old farts ( I'm 44- OMG I'm 44! ) set a good example?
 
us youngs (27) just like to let you old guys think you set a good example.:buttshaker: JK you guys are great I think the kids are a little disturbed at how well we all get along and don't want to shake the boat. Plus I'm sure if some @$$ comes in Talkin $%#@ everybody would be all over them.
 
Since I have been here the one thing I have noticed the most, beside the great people here, is that the members and staff do not hold a persons age against them. Young and old, beginners and those with experience, all bring something to the table and everyone learns. To me, this is one the most important reason this site, and RCW are the two of best forums on the internet.
 
Agreed. I may only be 25, but I've learned a ton over my years of RCing. Most forums that I've been part of have had more than their fair share of moronic activities. Arguments, crying games, and even the occasional soap opera of arguments. HPISF, and RCWF don't seem to have much of that going either way. 🙂
 
I am 15, probably close to the youngest one here but I love how everyone pretty much respects each other and listens.
