I figure there has to be some WWE fans here, and whether you like Cena or not, you have to admit, coming back from the injury in just under 4 months is amazing, and he looks great. He COMPLETELY tore his pectoralis major in a match on October 1, 07. Here is the link http://youtube.com/watch?v=fCZqV0X4y_M&feature=related

He surprised everyone with his entrance in the royal rumble tonight. This is an injury that normally takes 7-12 months to heal, and there are some that never completely heal and have a deformity in the pec area. I just think it was amazing to see him back so soon, and wanted to post it up for anyone who might be interested.

unless they're fake of course 😉 :resp: no doubt, these wrestlers are very impressive specimens of muscle, etc, but it's all staged...so I have to be more than a bit suspiscious of a "miracle recovery" just in time to pop into a pay-per-view event...

sure, some people find it entertaining, but you need to seperate truth from fiction...sorry :motorcycle:

the whole bouncing back and forth from rope to rope, jumping just as he rolls under him, and then ducking just in time to accidently go under his legs and miss grabbing him, etc...then throwing a 300+ lb guy by his underarm? not once but twice? for pete's sake, the other guy was jumping into the air before Cena even grabbed him to throw him...I've watched wrestling from time to time, and sure, it's mildly entertaining (more so when the half nekkid women are on screen) but I recall the other night, Hulk Hogan was on the tonight show, where they were showing clips of Jay Leno wrestling with him in Vegas, and Leno was fairing pretty well, against the Hulk...

sorry, just one man's oppinion I s'pose, so no offense to anyone who truly believes this stuff isn't staged (including wa2) but the closest thing I could compare it to would be a big choreographed stage number (with HUGE dancers) and if I'm gonna watch people dancing, it'll be women...

a note to the mods: if this is considered a flame, please delete accordingly :resp:

this is for wwe fans komo:violent-smiley-087:

If you believe it is fake or not (fake) the injuries are pretty severe in the sport. I lived in Marietta near the Power Plant when WCW was still around. Lots of neck surgeries and torn muscles. I used to talk to Dusty Rhodes when I would go to the barber shop to get my hair cut and that man is beat to hell from barb wire matches and such. I give them respect as athletes in there own sport. They do not usually last that long in the industry do to injury. There are a few that are icons in the sport but most fade away or work behind the scenes do to the severity of the injuries. :resp:

Komo, it is staged, that is out in the open now. Wrestlers have talked about it in interviews, books, etc. But staged or not, those are some athletes. Like megabyteme, I have talked to many wrestlers before, and whenever they are around my area they come to the world gym I workout at. The injury cena had was real. Just like the injury HHH had a little while back, torn quad. Alot of times there are injuries that are part of the show, but then you see them the next day taped up with broken ribs or something and they wrestle. I've read many articles about cena's injury, its even in the wikipedia on the web. Megabyteme, how about dusty rhodes forehead? More scars than you anyone can imagine, true?

That man has so many lumps and disfigurements from old school matches. He looks bad.
