Savage Engine Help

I am getting a losi 454 for my savage and I was wondering what I should get clutch shoes, fly wheel, glow plug (20%), and also I'm getting a dynamite 053 mid range exaust, thanks

you can use the flywheel from your old engine, far as clutch I recommend using an alloy set of shoes and medium springs for it... you can find this stuff at RC Planet or A Main Hobbies... as for a glow plug I would follow what the mfgr of the engine recommends to use, but usually a medium plug will work well with 20% nitro...

the flywheel on my old engine is stuck and cannot be removed so should I just buy a stock one or is there a better one

go to the local auto parts store and buy a batter cable puller, works like a charm to pull stubborn flywheels off engines, if that fails then yes I would buy a stock flywheel for the savage line of truck parts out there
something like this would fit and work very well

I got a whole XL clutch, shoes, springs, fliywheel, collet, and vented bell from Ebay for 35 bucks

unless you have or plan to use a rotostart unit on your engine you will need a pullstarter for it, only 2 ways to start a savage engine unless you have a custom starter box that I have never seen before.....

I use Ofna Lc3's, but any medium range long reach plug will work

Most all engine manufacturers include some recommendation on what plug will work best for their particular engine.....
As you seem by your posts to be quite new at the nitro side of things I would follow their directions so you get the most satisfaction from your new engine......

The temp around here is getting near zero is there some different plug to use in different climates?

You do not change your glowplug for weather conditions, you change your tune.

If you are having triuble getting the engine to operating temperature you can wrap the heatsink, or use a hair dryer on it to warm it up initially. Another good practice is to keep your RC inside.

to answer your question , yes an HPI branded plug will work, make sure to get a medium heat range plug....
