I'm not sure what you are asking, but I am using a RR 48 tooth steel spur and a 16 tooth clutch bell. mine is an X with an axial .32 and 2 speed transmission. it will wheelie on command and goes plenty fast......

There are lots of different spur and slipper teeth numbers I am wondering which go with which 13 - 48 14 -48 16 - 48? Or can you use any combination.
 
You can use any combo of spur and bell as long as they will mesh up and not be too loose or tight with a bit of adjustment...
 
Not entirely true Jam. There are certain combinations that do not fit with the stock engine plate's mounting holes (the engine can't be moved over far enough to accomidate) and the TVP can get in the way. But assuming you're willing to mod, then pretty much anything is possible.
 
ya being a modder at heart I coulda made myself more clear, but as X said with a little work most anything can be made to work....

true I suppose, just some have way more experience than others do.... I have personally modded most all my own vehicles and have even built a few chassis and things to make my cars personal to me alone....
That is what is so good about the hobby many variations on how to do things to get the result of a stronger vehicle and make them yours alone....

that would depend on which spur you plan on running, but say you were gonna run a 48 spur then a 13 would in theory give more bottom end and less top end.... if ya want to maintain somewhat stock ratio then a 16 bell and 48 or 49 spur should give both good bottom end and decent top end..... Gear ratio depends on many factors , engine size and powerband are the main factor to worry about.... all engine have a different "sweet spot" and this is why we play with the ratios to get maximum performance out of our rigs.....
