glow plugs

i need to buy some glow plugs and want to know replacement. i would like a plug that is equal to the r5 cold plug. thanks for any help.

well what kind percent of fuel are you running ? as a colder plug is for higher nitro content like 30% and lower the content the hotter the plug like 20% would be hot like a mc59

I run 20%. i hate mc coy plugs.

Dan, your right for the most part, except for the last sentence. With 20%, you want to use the mc8 plug, which is med/cold plug. But you are right. Cold plug for for high % nitro, med/cold for for middle % nitro, and hot plug mainly for rich break-in settings.

I run 20%. i hate mc coy plugs.

SB, all I use is McCOY plugs. I've been usin the same plug for 1 1/2 yrs and my truck sat unrun for a yr of it. So, I guess you can say I prefer McCOY plugs.

I use os8 plugs with 30%. I have them last for a long time,i do run a little on the rich side most the time.When i do lean they still perform.
