big block RS4

I know it's not a savage , but HPI still ,
I'm doing a RS4 super Nitro Big block conversion .
I can figure out the motor mount issue . but the flywheel is a whole other problem.
I've talked with wolfpack and he has the parts I need but i'm cheap and if I can find a working part then thats a bonus .
so if anyone knows the RS4 flywheel and one that will fit on to a big block and can post any info it would be very kool .
for those that don't know the RS4 .
the stock small block fly has a spacer so it moves the flywheel forward past the brakes.
which doesn't fit on to the to the BB.

I don't know that the flywheel is any different?? Smaller?

Send me a pic - I have a few RS4/MT/MT2 flywheels here, I can see what matches and if they will fit on a BB motor...

I have an RS4 3 EVO that is going to be converted to brushless with the 2 speed trans - should be stupid fast!

The main problem is the braking system
Wolfpack radicals I think the name is emailed me back
For 60 us comes with the motor mount flywheel and cone I'm not sure what's the cone for but I'll see later
Will be a fun build I think.

the cone is the collet for the flywheel

I big blocked and MT2 I had no issues.... unless you are trying to keep you 2 speed setup.

I wasn't planning on keeping the 2 speed , but rather then just 1 speed .

the cone as the collet makes sense now lol

wolfpack isn't keen on shipping to canada , but will do if thats what I want , he says it's like 50/50 chance I'l get it.
he prefers to ship to us addys so I'll have to see what comes around .

I didn't get any pictures tonight , I'll try and get something tuesday night now.

well if you are going single speed just drill our your chassis for the big block mount. Worked fine for me with all big block stock.

sadly not that easy motor mount gets in the way .
this is why guys like wolfpack made adjustable motor mounts with the flywheel makes it all very easy I guess
here the web site of the car well very close anyways .
mine has CF upper deck .
2 speed transmission .
this week I want to rip it apart and see how much I can use or want to use before I spend loads of money on it.

Interesting project you have there. I am keen to see what the outcome is. ONe question, why do you have to ditch the two speed? Is it due to the space that the big block takes up?

grrr I cant find my bigblock MT2 pics. Think they were on putfile >=( I'm gonna go outside to my work shop and I swear if you drill the chassis right a big block will go right in. No 2speed you said so should be no issue.

If I use the stuff from new ear or wolfpack then yeah no problem .


but If I use say stock hpi mount from a savage then the sides of the mount hit the mounts for the upper deck and front drive belt .
also have issue with the fly and brake line side by side and hit , so one or the other.

give me a couple hours for pictures dinners almost ready. lOL

that makes sense then , I take it it's an RS4mt ? which uses a dog bone for the front diff.
