hello i was looking for a roll cage for my savage xl. when i run with the body on and holes cut out i still run hotter than when the body is off. no matter how i tune it runs hot with the body so was looking for some feed back on which roll cage would be best i like this one but pricey. http://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64843 its like 150.00 or would this be better. http://www.rcplanet.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=savage+xl+roll+cage&Search.x=0&Search.y=0 or does anyone have any other ideas?

I'm running stock picco temps climb up to 280 to over 300 if I'm not care full and keep an eye on it. richen it to the point were any more would give poor performance. run a mc59 glow plug. but with the body off i can get through a tank and temps would be around 275 to 285 and run great. seems to need that extra air flow for some reason and i lowered the truck body down to were the cooling head stands out more above the truck body. also was thinking of getting the nova cooling head and trying that. worked great on my lrp.

Ok, now it makes sense, I'm bettin that Mc59 is the culprit. Before you buy anything, replace that 59 with a MC8 & I'm bettin youll be set :jamout:

Also, if your wanting a cage, then give US Custom Cages a serious consideration.
