Ok guys first off I am a newby, I bought a HPI Savage 21 off of ebay in December for my son. We drove the truck maybe 3 times until I broke the pull start. I ordered a new pull start reassembled the truck and it would not start. I checked the HPI website and reset all the carb adjustments to factory and it still will not start. I can pour a little fuel in the carb and iy will start and run for a few seconds then die. I have replaced fuel line incase there was a hole but still will not crank. I am at my wits end any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason.

Prime it till the nitro in the line is full and into the carb. From factory setting make the HSN 1 full turn in (leaner) give the LSN a 1/4 turn leaner and it will start

Also double check your carb opening should be at approx. 1 mm. Also so you know its primed enough take off the air filter while priming when you see fuel in carb you should be good. Check your glow plug and plug egniter. Good luck.

The carb opening is 1mm and it has a new glow plug with a fully charged ignitor. I prime the carb by holding my finger over the muffler so I know it is getting fuel. What about the settings on the control, does that make a diffrence. What should the remote be set on for starting. I have a TF-4 controler.
Whats a barney copter?

Flinstone-Barney ,,, Play on words as I read it ...

You can give it some trim to open the carb then trim it down after warm up to idle.

i would check to make sure there is no gummed up fuel in the fuel inlet by blowing into the fuel feed line. you never know how this truck was stored before you got it.

BTW welcome to hpisf
