hey dude... a few ideas for ya from the soulman......

have you looked into a ready made rear steer kit? RB made a kit that i installed for my buddy a while back. with any rear steering kit....you are gonna have a problem with torque steer.....especially with the right gearing. what i did was mounted a mini shock (can't remember what is came off) with a soft spring on the steering arm. them made the truck drive straight when you gave it gas and wouldn't turn....but the lightweight oil and soft spring still allowed it to turn. here is the rb link

as for the fuel.....have you thought about dual tanks? the tower hobbies tower terror fuel tank is slim and long and slender and holds 170cc of fuel. if you use the FLM servo plate you could mount 2 of them have a move ridgity added to the truck, and us a stampede thin slim battery box. here is the link to those items

as for with......you can go as wide as you want. you can use flm's extended arms, and that will give you the width you want.....or....use XL axles, dogbones, spacers, and outdrives
flm extended arms. or you can do the xl parts WITH the new era extenders for the ultimate in width!

dude that truck is MASSIVE, for the big boy look i'd do LST, XXL or Aftershock shocks

don't know if you've have much experience with the .46....but the first thing you NEED to do is posrt match the header if you run it. the port is TOO SMALL and the truck won't have much power. also....the were cold natured beasts and were very hard to tune because of it. don't rip the exhaust gasket if you do! if you want the "oh DAMN" look or just shear power....new era does a .70 (YES I SAID .70!!) kit for the savage. the engine are fairly cheap and the kit is reasonable also. i deal with this guy a lot....tell him you don't need the side plates, and rear dogbone.....he will sell you just the mount
.70 kit

looking buy the original sideplates....that was the OG or savage 25...so 4 GEAR DIFFs AND ALLOY CASES AND ALUMINUM CLUTCHES ARE A MUST if you don't already have em!!! those tires are gonna take their toll on parts. don't slouch on a steering servo either. might start out with a 13/52 gearing.

and for the fun part!!! BODIES! if you want something super detailed....use the new bright stuff.....they make awesome bodies (but CHEAP RCs!) and you can get them dirt cheap off ebay.

from when i had my Baja.....DDM has a lot of stuff, too. a redcat rampage mt body will be hot. they are found at ddm or kershaw designs

Lol no, this started as a poor man's Baja... But then i got a Baja lol.

I'll get around to this i hope before too many more parts are savaged off it for other projects 😉
