I'm using it right now and I think it doesn't work that good because I have been having trouble starting ever since I replaced the older one with this.

It says it's designed for helicopters, so I'm not sure if that is the problem.

But the thing is, the plug is not that hot. I have to go indoor to see the glow. Outside, I can't even see it. I remember the older plug, the glow was very bright and I could see it cleary outside. + I did charge the igniter.

yeah id have to agree with pope.. i didnt even know about preheating about a month ago.. I would be at least 2-3 mins pulling waiting for it to start.. well now i break out the heat gun.. hit it alittle before I'm gonna run.. 2 pulls.. its on. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

savage power that plug you linked isnt going to work to good for your trucks engine i think by the size of the filament that it would be too cold for your mill. switch to a dynamite or mccoy mc8 that should solve your starting problems. I'm in ottawa and its the plug i run year round and definatly preheat. a little tip for you if you don't have hydro where you are running use the exhaust from your car to preheat

I only preheat with a hair dryer during snow and it has worked great! Usually couple of pulls should start the truck during snow.

But ever since switching to that glow plug, it is very hard to start! I used to start my engine with couple pulls. Now I have to pull for five minutes to get it started. I'm so frustrated. So you are recommend me to run Dynamite MC8 glow plug?

the temperature in Toronto right now is under 50F. So that plug is good?

I didnt read the other posts so this may have been covered but the temp of the glow plug has NOTHING to do with outside temps. Just so you know. the hot, med, cold you see on them is timing like a vacuum advance of a old car. Med is a good all around plug. Hot is not for top end at all and cold don't work well on the bottom end power at all. that is just a crash course in glow plugs but w/o going into depth of how they work and confusing you thats all you need to know.
