just bit the bullet and bought one online here in canada got the race roller. I have an xl with the usuall addons like a picco.28 ofna 086 pipe maximizer beadlocks wrapped in badlands hitec digital servos and a futaba 3pm radio. I'm guessing the engine servo rims exhaust and electronics will all swap over and then I should have an unstoppable monster on the track and the street.looking for opinions on this setup and if anyone else is running something similar

Personally I would stay away from the Maximizer beadlocks on a Truggy they are to heavy for the light truck a Truggy is you would be best off with a dished wheel and some sort of in tire. Otherwise looks good and should rip.

FYI, I have heard of many complaints of busting the stock shock tower so I have had some ask me to build a shock tower from CF that will last as there are very few options out there so I am in the design state of these so keep your eye open. We will have them prices as low as possible. We are also doing these for the Buggy because of the same problem.

You will love the 8ight's they are one of nicer truggys and buggys out there especially for the money.

You should keep everthing on that xl and for the truggy you should get

o.s v-spec 21 300$
Aka ibeams (Tires) 60$ for all four
jconcepts rulux STANDERD OFFSET (rims) 40$ all four
good servos 300$ for 2
the king headz rear shock tower 40$
king heads rear hubs (stock bearings go bad) 65$
the 2mm Hex hubs from losi 30$
2 peice engine mount from king headz 50$

Pope i have the RTR and I'm in love with it. Soon as you put good good servos in it it's a beast. After break-in and about 10 minutes on the track tighting your flywheel nut down mine came lose in a quilfyer. But other then that the shock tower is fine (have not broken it) and i do not know about the rear hubs yet.
