First off, thats cool that you are brave enough to post that and get poked at, lol. I'm sure your not the only one that has had that happen, me as well, second tank of fuel in my savy i have a nice scar to remind me that the cooling head on my mill is not so cool after 2 tanks! Kick back and tune it from the couch now, good luck and hope it heals quickly!

ya i myself did a bonehead thing today, i darn near took my knuckle off on the head fins of my savage x pulling it over today.....

OUCH!! I had one that looked like that on my arm when a blob of hot solder and flux dropped onto me doing some overhead plumbing work, thing took was sore as hell for weeks after and took months to heal fully, hope it heals fast for ya man.

Well me & my brother went to this construction site down the road with the Savage X, and there was a nice gravel hill, see like any other Savage owner we had some fun, until........

So now i can either take the Left REAR knuckle off and swap it to the REAR Right or buy a new knuckle !
Besides the bad news it was fun !

Cool pics, have done this a couple of times myself. The new bits don't cost a lot,its well worth getting a few extra ones as well, take em with you, theyll keep u bashin next time 🙂.Now get it fixed, get out there & break it again 😉

nice wreckage. if your gonna run them stockers you should buy a set of 4 (about $5 on the bay) and keep em handy.

thats a common breakage rite there... easy fix too.

ya i've busted one of those before!! lol lol like was suggested earlier keep a few on hand as there cheap and you will need them sooner or later....

LOL!

When i got home (2minutes away from the the bash spot) i took out the old knuckle and was looking at it, then i seen that all four knuckles were the same so i took the rear left off and put it on the rear right =P
Went back out and, broke it *sigh* lol !

I kinda got out of the rc game my friend.
be back soon I hope

wow I'm out of the loop somehow, i didnt know you were out of the rc game jeremy but i guess you have more important personal things going on at the moment so hope to see you back soon!!!!!!

Just running the truck around with my 2 year old son yesterday and we ran into a very large potted plant infront of the store nextdoor and bent the front right dogbone. It is a lovely u shape. We kept running till the engine stalled then packed it up cause the engine leeks like crazy out of the front and back so the one way bearing won't catch after you run it for a few min. This motor is on the list of things to fix but as it is just a backup S25 motor that is a real dog I don't care enough to do anything about it right now. I'll throw up a pic once I pull it tonight.

well my son is turning two at the end of the month and I let him steer as I do the gas but I opened it up a little to much and WAM.

Did the dogbone stay on after the collision, or did it fall off? From what you've said I guess it stayed on your savy?

I've been wondering if a tougher dogbone like the FLMs I just got would damage the diffs or something by staying on the CVDs instead of flying off when they break... ?
