sounds like a nice pile of damage pope.. but yes like the rev said could been worse coulda took out a set of legs and broke some ankles.. sheeesh ppl just don't realize how heavy and fast these trucks are till its to late ..they love learning that the hard way ..lol bash on dude bash on...

Well I thought I had solved the loose pinion problem on my truck. Looks like another problem!
After inspection I found the problem 2 motor plate screws had completly backed out. I wish all problems had an answer!
the truck run fine just really noise:motorcycle:

going to start a damage thread since there will be plenty with the setup i have now. BL is a killer!!!!

anyone know how this happens?

more to come once i can find my camera charger.

lol BL is starting to not look as fun. sweet carnage bad, need a video each time you go out!

just remember that he's runnin 6s packs on asphalt with a lotta backflips.

your seeing the effects of the maximum voltage on the maximum traction surface pushin the truck to its limit & beyond.

if you take this into consideration, the damage is minimal & impressive.

very true freddy.

better pics...
pics speak for themselves, gear on the right is what it should look like. this is after 45 mins of run time (i checked everything before i actually ran it after the conversion so i know they were perfect before i flipped the switch the first time with the BL beast.

pinion teeth are all rounded off from the messed up ring gear.

look closly at this one, the teeth are half as thick as they were when new. this gear was another 30 mins of run time away from stripping out.

clearer pics of the bulkhead, still have no idea how it could happen.

I'm amazed that the bearings stood up to that. i forsee some alloy bulks in your future; looks like the torque is flexing your bulk & causing that wear.

pretty kool tho.

I'm thinking staying nitro right about now is a great idea until they come out with parts that can withstand that amount of power, you ran your truck for 45 mins and all those problems.

totally agreed lol ill go bl eventually but ill always have my nitro's and I'm waiting to go bl. after like you said they build parts to handle that kinda power.. 1 minute runs shouldnt kill your truck every time .theres some days i can bash till i myself get to hot and pack it in but my trucks are still ready to go.and i bash them hard I'm not gentle on my trucks by all means .don't get me wrong there are days where i can kill a truck before the first tanks gone ... but seems like on the bl its almost an instant and a given that you will never get a full days run in with onetill they build better parts for that kinda insane power... bash on ppl and have fun.. sorry for your down time though.. gottsta blow always down ....🙂

remember tho, my truck is not totally a "flux" and i converted... there will be problems give it a few more runs and ill have a really reliable machine. none of this damage is crazy nor unseen.
look at a nitro there are always problems you just don't notice since your used to it.

that bulk was broke by the pinion trying to climb the ring gear.it was just the pure torque of the BL system that did that. the diff gear pics are from the diff out of that housing right. if it was it was the plastic failure that caused the gear damage. were these flux bulkheads or just x ?

just x bulkheads.

more damage!!!!

tell tale sign of a blown diff...
when your grease turns from green to silver...

FLM makes some nice bulkheads. Just got my set in the mail a few days ago. If they are shimmed right I can't imagine you blowing a cen diff in a flm bulkhead.

+1, i agree on the alloy. i got GH Alloy so we shall see.

i wouldnt say its 'blown' as much as you wore it out.
