ok so i see one of my stock shock cap is blown open and oil everywhere...

I tear down a bit of the truck to do a clean and repair the shock, next thing I know the other 7 shocks that LOOK to be fine are quite the opposite. 6 of the remaining shock have loose caps and no oil or very little oil in all shocks. So i replaced all fluid with my team losi 27.5 oil i had and thats that.

Does anyone eles have problems with stock shocks? can i expect the same thing to happen again?

on side note the truck is like spotless now as i did a good clean and the shocks are going to work now 😀

they are plastic.....i had the same problem with mine. they are cheap and easy to repair though.

yea man just make sure you have good seals on the cap .. they tend to blow out often ...

Is this the reason why pepole upgrade to the aluminum threaded shocks? I've only had about 2 shock caps bust off on the stock shocks.

really? i woulda figured you would of broken more things with how you drive yours.

The stock shocks have surprised me. I've seen a lot of pictures of bent shock shafts and read a lot about popped off shock caps. But regardless of how hard I bash, they seem to hold up very well for me. It must be because I have good driving skills and land right most of the time!
