Which Servo Horn??? 645MG Servo

Well, I think i'm going for the record number of posts in one day today.

I'm just installing my new 645MG servo and wondered which horn supplied with the servo had you used?

any other tips would be great too.

THIS is a real good way to go. If your truck is anything like mine it comes with different steering servo horns for each of the servo manufactuers, find the hitec one.

ahhhh ... mine did come with a load of horns ... not sure where they are now! haha! what about the horns that come with the 645mg?

Are the horns labeled? Only one type will fit your servo, and there are three different sizes. If you have to force it , its probally not the right one.

but personally I would go with the aluminum horn I posted above that way you don't have to worry about striping it so easy.

GOT IT ... savage 3.5 manual page 40 ... HiTec = 24, Futaba (HPI) = 25, Airtronics/JR/KO/Sanwa = 23

yeah the alu one looks like a good option ... things is its saturday night, all the shops are shut and my savage is stripped all over the dining table ...

and the landlord is visiting tomorrow! YIKES!

The truck comes with a couple different horns. If you look on the bottom of them one has a 24 on it. I have been using it for a long time and the HPI ones are strong.

yeah thats the one I installed ... feels really strong so i'm going to stick with that one for now, unless the unmentionable occurs.
