I own a savage x and am still using the stock radio and servos, what would your guys choice be to upgrade i was looking at the spektrum 2 channel i am open for suggestions as i now have to push on the small steering trim nob to get full power to my steering its like its shorting or something and its always been "glitchy" right from day one!

There was a nomadio on ebay for $199 with rx (transceiver) I just checked it sold. it was in this thread, there is a guy (I listed his link in the top post of same thread https://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3429 who had a few, you might send him a message to get one pretty cheap.
I just received mine today, if you get the ve 2 transceiver they fit perfectly in the savage x box. It is an awesome radio, has every feature you could ask for, I have been playing, you can, with the downloadable software, set any button to do what ever you want. it even talks to you. plus it has telemetry I would recomend one for sure. the one I got is like new, came in a box too.

Definitely go with the 2.4GHZ. I have the spektrum and its been great. No glitching at all and the range is terrific. I know the DX3.0 comes with 2 RX's so you can use it in two trucks. I got mine from www.myrcsupply.com for $186 plus shipping which is the cheapest I found it anywhere. The 3rd channel is great for the reverse mod.
