Ok so I need some new diffs for my savage what would be the best to get?

Yeah I know cens are really good but what else out there will hold up?

Also will flux ones work in a nitro savage?

the flux diffs are the same as the XL diffs the only difference is the flux diffs come in a supposedly stronger case to prevent flexing. but if you want bullet proof diffs get cen for sure

well in that case i would say that the flux or xl diffs is the best only down side is you have to buy new axles because these use different size dogbones. or you could buy some x diffs and make sure you shim them before you install them

+1 on plcman1, bought a lot of stuff from him & excellent transaction every time.

imo, your diff life is gonna depend largely on shimming; about 8 of us bash regular together & a dude with an xl is the only one that has wasted 2 diffs. he has not shimmed them.

Yeah I know that but if you have shimmed diffs and done right how strong will they be, any were near the cens?

kinda hard to answer that one: a bad mesh will contribute to you grenading a diff & my experience with the X diffs is they never exploded & i shimmed them. the cen diff is completely different, but if you don't shim them right, you'll grenade those too.

here are a couple pics so you can see the differences between stock & cen

Cen on top, Hpi on bottom VVV

I think that ill go with x ss diffs and if I have any problems it will be cens. Unless you guys really think the cens would be worth it.

is there any info on what needs to be done to fit the cen diffs??? and do i just use the ring and pinion from the cen?? if so can i use a alum. diff case?? sorry guys I'm not new to rc by any means but I'm building a savage 25 that has just about every upgrade on it and trying to make it bullet proof.

and i now the savage does not need all whats on mine but this is how i got it so I'm going with it lol lol.

there are 2 things i have to do..

1- get a better clutch setup

2- rebuild the diffs. so I'm going to upgrade to what is best.

so please help with this delima. thanks..

wanter if tower hobbys has these parts needed.

i read the the dog bone pins need to be changed to use the cen diff asy. were can i get the drive pins??

i talked to chris lugos from hpi earlier and he said that the flux ones are stronger then the xls and there like 40 bucks and the only thing is that he told me is that you have to put a new bearing in the output shaft to the drive shaft
