so what do I need to clean or grease after getting it wet? I hear people talking about bearings but I have no clue how to find them, clean them or grease them.
I did a search and there's nothing in the how to section.
I guess it depends on how much water you were in, the bearings that people are probably talking abput are the ones in the hubs. there are 2 bearings where your axels go through, look in your manual, thee is an exploded diagram.
I would make sure the electronic stuff is dry, your servos, etc...
You can use a blow dryer on low heat. The water itself really doesnt harm your truck as long as you dry it as soon as your done bashing.I run in the snow all the time, with a few large puddles here and there.Whenever I finish I brush of all snow ,then I use compressed air.I just crank up my airbrush to 45psi and blow off all moisture, then a quick blow dry. After you do all this you need to apply wd40 or similar .This not only prevents rust it will help to displace any moisture that is left and repell any future moisture. As far as your bearings They are sealed and should not need to much xtra att. I dry mine well and put on a little micro bearino lube for good measure.Remember the moisture only causes damage if you leave it there.I have even gotten my reciever wet.Just a little timely attention to moisture should keep you rolling.Hope this helps .
