Hey guys I just wondering which servos you like to run for your throttle/brake in your savage's? I'm really looking to go digital as everything I own is either digital or will be going digital soon. This is the one I was looking at http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFKZ7&P=ML I can get it for about $32. I am running a 6V hump pack as thats all I run. This will be in my racer truck. I am already running the HiTec 5645MG for steering.

At 6V its .16 Sec, as far as what ive found if you find any digital ones that are any faster they are much more expensave.

Thats a great link and post you have on that thread FX.

By chance do you know what the stock SF1 & 2 are for speeds at 6V's.

Ahh my fault I miss read the spec, I would still get something around the .10 sec range, .5 of a sec does make a difference. Thats just me though.

Ya I hear where your comming from. What other options do I have.

Do you really think digital for throttle/brake for racing is a neccasary thing?

I wouldn't say you need to go digital. I would go with this one. Your getting 131 oz of torque moving at .14 seconds for 52 bucks. I would say you would like that servo a lot.

If money is truely an issue this servo has the same torque as the one you list but it has .15 sec response time for about the same price.

I run one of them in my T-Maxx steering, payed $44 for it. My truck is set up to run Futaba/HPI servos granted it wouldnt take much to change that but atleast then the splines would match my my steering servo.

Yeah bud idk, I would look for a servo that is .15sec or under and has at least 120oz of torque. The response time is so crucial for racing it makes a big difference. Just follow those two specs and you should be happy with whatever brand you buy.

yes I absolutely hear you about the speed. In not sure 120oz is needed for throttle/brake but would be good to have. I guess I'm really undecided at this point yet. If any one else has any input I would greatly appreciat it.

Thanks FX for all the help you have been great.

Well guys since I am running the 5645MG in the steering I am just going to put the 5625 in for the throttle/brake, I wish it was quicker but .14sec isnt to bad. What do you guys think?
