for that price, look into the FLM hybrid bulk/diff cases...they're the ones made the original, which gpm quickly copied (at least I saw the FLM ones hit the market first)

plus, you'd be buying american, and I bet warranty service might be slightly better with FLM...if not better, definately faster, considering the GPM stuff has to ship to and from Hong Kong...

hey site, why not go with cen conversion? I havnt tried them yet, but I have started havn diff issues latley(thanks axial) I need to decide what upgrade to try, Where do you get the shims you mentioned for the pinion gear?
what are you running now? Is it holdn up?
sorry site this post will require more than one sentance response. LOL
Thanks bud.

I have had the cen diffs. I sold them .. You just have to find the shimms (nobody makes them) Right now Iam not running, need diffs.

I have looked into the flm, but FLM doesn't come w/ hardend diff gears
and I have heard there really heavy

gzus11 is using those bling racing gears. by the looks of them they are no harder than standard savage gears, however the alloy diff cup supplied is pretty poor. much better to get the HPI alloy diff cup kit.

the cen diff mod does have its downsides aswell remember. the gears may be bigger and stronger, but your weakening other patrs to fit them, in turn creating another failure point.

personally i would go FLM bulkless with the hpi upgrade diff kit.

you didn't ask about diff gears...you asked about alloy bulks...LOL

as far as any weight difference, I doubt there would be much, if any, weight difference between the gpm ones you linked and the FBM ones...besides...I thought weight doesn't matter to a basher??

I am a sucker for the FLM gearboxes. Word on the street is they are coming out with a savage x easy access design.
