Hi guys i am going to go for an LRP30(was thinking about the 28 but decided on the 30 because of the xl's size) sometime over the winter when i rebuild my xl.I am going to be running the hpi tuned pipe and the stock xl tyres(given up on the 40 series idea). What would be good gearing for this set up?I want wheelies and i want it to rip at the topend?18/49 seems to be quite a common set up but with the big xl tyres would that be good gearing set up?Thanks for any advice.

I run 18/47 and still get wheelies on my FLM mid tanked sav with the LRP .30, i think with the tank in the stock position itl throw an XL on its back no problem on that gearing.

Just hope nothing goes wrong with that .30 or youl have a tough job finding parts.

This was my LRP .30 on 18/47 with 40 series big joes after the first few tanks of heat cycle break in, factory settings.

Thanks. It looks very impressive.Spares shouldnt be a problem as quite alot of shops are stocking lrp over here now.

Just found the lrp30 2 spec for sale over here for £139.95 where as other shops are charging around £180!!

Good deal! I paid around the £150 mark for mine including shipping from the USA and customs charges.

Who's stocking LRP .30 parts over here then? I know Podium RC lists all the parts and prices but as your probably aware the way they work is they show all the parts they can get, not necessarily what they have in stock and iv waited for nearly a month in the past waiting for just savvy parts from them.

At the moment, if your going for an LRP .30 itl probably be less hassle and cheaper to buy two of them and keep one just for spares :lmao:

DMS once again(i don't wor for them, promise.lol)is the shop doning the lrp30 for £139.95 and they are doing the 28 3 spec for £134.95.I just checked their spares listing tho and they only list spares for the 28.I pressumed that they would have spares for the 30 but you are rite as it looks like there isnt any. They must be able to get them tho.Modelsport have got the lrp 30 in but its £179.99!!!They don't list any spares either tho.

Yea modelsport were selling the Nosram RS.30RR, identical to the LRP ZR.30 X competition 7 port truggy version for £149.99 with free p&p a short time ago, i was gonna buy one and put the backplate and pullstart from my LRP .30 spec 2 on it, wish i did now cos theyve stopped selling them.

When i bought my .30 there was 2 or 3 ebay USA chopshops breaking them up so i thought id be ok for parts but theyve now stopped doing it because the parts didnt sell well, if anything else goes on mine itl have to go on the shelf until parts are available.

Hmmmm its starting to make me wander if i should go for 28 3spec instead?Rc Direct do the SH28 6 port for just under £100.I wander how that would go in the xl:dunno:.

I know the .28 owb fits, I'm using one in my .30 now, i have a .28 pullstart on its way il let you know when it arrives if it fits on the .30, i have read the .28 backplate fits aswell but is a little on the loose side so needs sealing up well.

Yep the .28 pullstart defo fits, infact its identical, the same pullstart, only difference being the sticker they put on them lol
