I'm old school, so I would still pull it down, make sure it's sealed and locktited well. So much easier to do when it's new then after you try to run it and chase a tune and all that nonsense.
My own truck would be alot better off right now if I would have inspected it first instead of pulling it out of the box and sticking an ignitor on it like I don't know any better lol
