Weird Sound When Truck Rolled Backwards!!

Ok!! I Just Received My Dirt Bonz And Was Putting Them On When My Truck Rolled Backwards A Bit And I Heard A Strange Noise, It Wasnt Grinding Or Anything But Just A "drivetrain" Noise If U Know What I Mean!! It Was Just The Gears Or Whatever, They Werent Binding Or Anything Just Never Heard That Before!! Perfectly Quiet And Smooth When Pushed Forwards!! I'm Not To Worried But Just Wondering If Its Normal For The Truck To Make A Bit Of Noise If Its Pushed Backwards As I Said Its Not Grinding Or Anything!! I KNOW DUMB QUESTION BUT AS I SAID I'VE NEVER NOTICED IT BEFORE!! LOL I'm ASSUMING BECAUSE OF THE FACT IT DOESNT HAVE REVERSE ITS NORMAL WHEN THE TRUCK ROLLS BACKWARDS!!

My 25 makes a noise when its rolls backwards and my friends x does it to so i think its normal and they both are fine foward

Mine does it to. The cb and brakes make noises when rolled backwards, it normal.

I would almost guarantee that its your cup joints . they are probably worn . change then and the should will go away

Mine does the same thing when rolled backwards. Sj, I also have all new drive cups all around and it still makes the noise. No noise when rolled forward though.

I've Only Got About A Gallon Of Fuel Through My Truck And That Was Just Puttin Around A Deserted Parking Lot So I don't Think They Should Be Worn I WAS CHECKING IT OUT EARLIER AND I THINK ITS THE SPUR GEAR/CLUTCH BELL MAKING A NOISE BUT ONLY WHEN THE TRUCKS ROLLING BACWARDS AND ITS NOT A NASTY NOISE BUT JUST A WRRRRRRRRRR WHEN PUSHED BACKWARDS BUT TOTALLY QUITE AND SMOOTH FORWARDS!!

I find the metal dual disc brakes do that. if you apply a little bit of brake and push it forward it will make the same sort of noise.

double check your gear mesh at the CB/Spur gear, it sounds like there might be a little bit of binding, it only happens in reverse because that is the only time the drive train engages the spur gear with the engine off due to the oneway bearing in the transmission. not necessarily a spur gear killing condition but that is what it sounds like

I'm sorry about that but occasionally this comp will switch between caps and lower case letters all by itself!! its a old keyboard and the buttons stick at times sorry about that!! i'll keep a better eye on that

i spilled my coffee a while back but i thought i got it all guess not!! lol and my girlfriends son has spilled stuff to so i just grabbed my girlfriends keyboard for now guess i need to buy a new one!
