venom smart temp fail safe

hi all i have just gotten a venom smart temp fail safe and i got it all plugged in and i set the radio fail safe to full breaks i can make it move the servo for throthle by going higher on the number making it go towards 32 right now its at 7 for breaks but when i try to give it gas on the recevior it wont move the throthle servo at all and when i try to set the on off function for the fail safe to on it keeps going back to off
