as most of you know i have a pretty big race coming up but don't know which engine to get either the XTM 457 Pro Truck engine or the axial .28rr (the engine my friend has) or a novarossi please give me a link or model number and any others you may suggest but please remember i want a high top speed but also a pretty good low end as well and i already have a TSAIS C5H pipe and also suggest any upgrades to handle extra torque any help much appreciated

yeah i looked but they don't give much information just want to know what is a good motor for what i said earlier
 
If You Are Trying To Beat The Rr. You Will Need A Modded Rr Or Lrp Or Even The Sh P8. I'm Not That Impressed With The Rr Imho!! I think the porting at 90° and 270° is too small for the fact it is a race mill.

does this really need to be a 20 thread subject? Let's keep it to a thread or two. Not a urgent help thread, then a what type of engine thread, then a what do I do if I get this motor thread. Please narrow it down. Of the 8 total threads you've created on this site, 7 alone are revolving around this issue. The 8th thread is asking about a good rollcage....23 of your 24 posts are in these 7 threads, lol...Posting a new thread on the same issue isn't going to increase your chances of finding that perfect motor.

i know sorry just need help quickly so which engine should i get and i really do want to find the perfect motor
 
Hard cold truth is everyone has their favorites most people are going to tell you differant things. bottom line is pick a motor you hear good things about and do like the rest of us do and take your chances and wish for the best.I have had motors I love awesome power and find a thread about how crapy it is so every motor is differant. sorry if I sound so insensative I wish you the best of luck :dunno:

so which engine is the fastest out of all engines i need the one with a very high top speed but one with a reasonably good take off so i can catch up with the high speed but will not lose by a slow takeoff which one do you recommend
 
Dude this is kinda getting old!! We have all tried to help you! Take our suggestions and search your own info. If there was a perfect motor we would all have it by now! Remember this it's not all in the motor. It's the set up and driving skills that usaully win the race. I won a few races with my old Axial .28 spec1 against some revo's and modded sts's. They should have blown me away, but they had horrible set up or could use help in the driving/controlling area.

😛annedout: Somebody wants everything handed to them on a silver platter. Everyone here has gone through numerous versions of their own truck to find what works best for them. I suggest you stop asking and start building. :Xfingers:
 
ok so i have chosen an axial engine but do not know which one either the .28RR Spec 1S Engine or .32 Spec 1S Engine which one has more top speed

and do i need to seal the engine thanks i have also heard things such as leaking bearings what is this

hi, ok I think what everyone is trying to say is there are a wide variety of motors and everyone on this forum has a differant opion about each motor. If I were u I would read everyone's advice and mabey look on the manufacuter website and do a comparison on the top two motors u think u might want that may help u decide better.
 
Ok I have stated the Axial RR is **** many times along with many other people. It is under expectations.

To my understanding they hired a guy to design the thing then he did an emaculat job designing it with lots of power. The Axial got worried about warrenty and all and backed down the power and made it cheaper after fireing the designer because they wanted it to be a moderat powered engine so they backed up the timing and put cheaper parts in to it. Who knows. Lots of us have had issues with it. The .32 is a better engine but if you want a good cheap engine deffanetly go with the LRP or the Picco 28 you will be very happy with either of them. there is info and talk ups about the LRP all over the Forum. I'm not trying to be a jack but just trying to kee you happy.
 
one other thing you need to look for is gearing. if your gearing is wrong then your not going to get the power to the ground. the other thing is if it is a club race you may be fine but most sanctioning bodies do not allow over .28cc so the .32 is illegal. i like what i hear about the lrp and the werks motors. also your pipe is a big thing also. if the motor doesn't like the pipe it will not run or perform right. i run an os.30 and a surefire. i would say look at the lrp.

Not even like I need to emphasis what Chunky already said but I will. Don't make multiple threads on the same thing. This not only clutters up the forum but it also annoys our members. Before you even make a thread, SEARCH. We have a nifty little search bar where you can look up old threads that contain valuable info. If you can't find anything then make one thread and ask your questions there. Talk to members in the shoutbox, you will get quick answers there. If you still feel you aren't getting the right info send a private message to one HPISF's moderators. We'll answers your questions, direct you to threads that may help, or let you know of a member who is knowledgable in that certain area. We won't bite.......at least I won't.

I am still very new to all this, still using my stock mills but as far as video's Ive seen these STS D30M's have to be up there in the list of fast mills.
