Tuning troubles

I have a Savage xl 5.9 and I’m having trouble tuning it correctly I am fairly new at nitro r/c and I bought this truck used and changed fuel so..... it does run I’m just having trouble with it idling and when easing on throttle it will like bog out at full throttle so I richened up the high speed needle but seems like it’s way to rich and lots of smoke, any information will help I have tried the base settings and it doesn’t quite pin point exactly where each needle should be at base not sure if the low speed needle is supposed to be at the edge of the brass or flush with the throttle lever at the carb, mid speed needle is flush with the body of the carb

There is lots of useful info in the link provided.... there is NO Magic setting for tune, each and every engine is going to be different as to needle settings.... Your altitude, temperature and other factors affect tune so you need to read and try different settings to find what works for you and your respective engine
