i know winter is almost here and i don't know about you guys but my savy loves to play in the snow and I'm not putting it up for the winter and it has been getting colder and i was running my truck and it itseems out of tune in the colder weather it doesnt get up and go like it should and i was wondering what needle i have to lean out or richen to get that proformance back this winter of i i just need to get a hotter glo plug because i ran two tanks through it and did the hand test to see if the engine was getting warm and i could hold my hand to the cooling head with ease so and help will be appreciated thanks

I run a med-cold plug and richen the hsn up about a quarter turn. It was about 38* here last friday and my engine wouldn't get over 220.

Don't lean your truck out to raise temps . THATS THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO .. in cold weather you need to run richer.. YEA RICH !!! the air is more dense in colder weather .. more air means more fuel.. put an old sock around the head to bring up temps

Cold air Fat mix

As long as there is enough heat in the cylinder to fire the mixture, it is hot enough! SJ is absolutely right; cold air = Dense Air. Dense Air = More Air in mix(in a round about way).

More Air in mix = lean mix. Soooooo, fatten 'er up!

oky thanks guys will do but now i got bigger problem lol i put a hole in my gas tank when i was doing back flips i landed on my bumper and it forced the shock tower screw down into the tank and broke it 😀

Make sure after you replace the tank, you reverse the screw on the shock tower. This is a must do if you have stock tank and do heavy bashing. Just put the screw through the other side so the nut is facing out. This way the screw head is facing the tank and can't punture it.
