my trans is slipping out of gear and then it catches again and runs fine is this a sign of the owb in the trans goin bad or is it something worse? the truck shifts fine and has more than plenty of speed so how can i check the owb for slipping?

yep eric you hit it right on the head its the one way bearing slipping i had the same prob a couple of months ago

They only slip under load I say just replace it. I may have one I can give you will check this weekend.
